“The explosive charge of the FAB-3000 bombs is about one and a half tons. In practice, this means that the explosion creates a shock wave, which makes it possible to destroy a target such as a detachment stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with open-type earthen fortifications,” the Rostec representative explained. The corporation added that if there are no serious obstacles to the destructive effect of the explosion, the bomb could cover 11 football fields.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a video showing the deployment of the FAB-3000 equipped with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC) in the special operations area. The UMPC, attached to the bomb, opens its wings after it falls, directing it directly to the target. The module provides precise delivery of initially free-falling ammunition.
