WhatsApp for Windows has finally added support for group pinned messages. The function, which was announced in December 2023, is now available on PC too.
The new feature lets you highlight messages in any chat, whether it’s private chats or groups. pinned message always appears prominently on screenaccessible with a touch or click.
To pin a message, you need to right-click on it, choose how long you want it to be highlighted (24 hours, 7 days or 30 days), and confirm your choice. After that, it will be visible to all participants in the conversation.
Right now, WhatsApp for PC lets you pin and view up to three messages at a timeBut just like on mobile phones, it’s up to administrators to decide who can highlight posts.
Windows local share
Another new feature integrated into WhatsApp for Windows is the Windows 11 share tray. The Message Context Menu now allows you to share messages from other programs with the native solution.
Windows’ native sharing support opens the way for sending to other devices as well as other programs via Nearby Sharing.
All new features recently found are being distributed through Microsoft Store, Windows 10 and Windows 11 app stores. Features are expected to reach everyone gradually.
