Ten of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies have reduced payments to Russian doctors. In 2023, the amount of payments amounted to 652.6 million rubles, which is 17% less than in 2022. RBC reported on this based on its own calculations.
Payments, the so-called transfer of values, are expressed in payments for the participation of doctors in conferences, compensation for accommodation and travel expenses, and remuneration for consultations carried out.
The calculation is based on publicly available payment data from the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. The calculation was based on information from the ten largest pharmaceutical companies in the world: Pfizer, Bayer, Novo Nordisk and others.
