The chip’s efficient cores (E-Cores) will run at 4.0GHz, ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s P-Cores clocked at 4.32GHz and E-Cores clocked at 3.53GHz.

Interestingly, Qualcomm plans to use dual manufacturing from both TSMC and Samsung Foundry for Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for Galaxy, which is likely to be produced on Samsung’s SF2 node, could offer competitive performance but exact clock speeds are yet to be confirmed. Potentially, Samsung’s node could match or even surpass TSMC’s version.
