We are all familiar with the problem: you want to save something on your PC or laptop and you want to receive a message that there is no more space left. If your disk is full, you will need to delete some files or transfer them to an external disk. But there is also a trick with which you can delete many temporary files in one go.

With this simple hack, you can delete many files your laptop or PC has collected in one go, with no real benefit to you. These are temporary files. These belong to all kinds of programs and peripherals and can take up a lot of storage space. But how will you get rid of it?

Delete temporary files

To remove these files in a snap, first right-click on the Windows icon. Then select ‘run’. Now type the following into the search bar that appears: %temp%† The folder that opens next is the folder where all the temporary files are located. You can select them all at once with the Ctrl+A key combination. Then press delete. You will see that you now have a lot more space on your computer.

Cleanup via disk storage

Another way to get here is through your computer’s settings. For that, go to: Control Board and then click system† You will see the option in the left menu to store stop. If you click on it, you will see a scroll button that you can open. This is the smart cleaning system of your computer itself.

Here you can enable the function of clearing all temporary files every week, month or only when there is a shortage of storage space. This way you will never be stuck with junk files again.
