The M4 will be used in Apple’s Private Cloud Computing (PCC) modules starting next year, replacing the current M2 Ultra that powers many of these systems.

Designed to meet sensitive AI requests, PCC modules ensure confidentiality by processing data with encryption; thus neither Apple nor third parties can access users’ personal data.

While specific details regarding chip variants remain unclear, it is likely that the new PCC modules will use the M4 Ultra.
