According to the GlobalCheck service, service availability across all mobile providers in the country is 100%, which is also confirmed by various thematic Telegram channels.
Some users also note full access to YouTube on a PC without any additional tools.
More than 6 thousand participants participated in the survey on the Jeteed Telegram channel, and 31% of them stated that there was no slowdown. Surveying more than 34 thousand subscribers, the Bakery channel received 26% positive feedback on restoring access.
More than 100 thousand people participated in the CyberAx channel survey, and 22% of them confirmed that YouTube works for free.
The sudden restoration of access to the service in Russia coincided with director Karen Shakhnazarov’s recent appeal to President Vladimir Putin demanding that the video hosting service be unblocked.
Shakhnazarov noted that YouTube remains an important platform for the dissemination of information and cultural content, and blocking YouTube has a negative impact on Russian viewers.
