Protests broke out after a staff member sent a QR code to a Karachi store. It contained data to connect to a WiFi network that insulted one of Mohammed’s friends.

Those who were dissatisfied with what happened reportedly smashed and burned Samsung billboards, and also destroyed at least one brand’s store.

At the same time, 27 employees of the destroyed store were detained by local police. They are accused of cursing.

Recall that a few weeks ago, Samsung smartphones imported into Russia via parallel import could not be activated. The manufacturer stipulated that the device be activated only in the country in which it is intended to be sold.
