This will be an important step for the Ultra line, which offers the ability to make calls over the satellite network as a standard feature.

Insider Digital Chat Station reported that Xiaomi has registered two versions of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

One of them (25010PN30C) will not only support satellite calls via the Tiantong network, but also send messages via the Beidou satellite network. The second option (25019PNF3C) does not have this function.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch as early as February 2025, ahead of its main rivals such as Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Vivo X200 Ultra.

The smartphone is expected to retain the basic design cues of the previous 14 Ultra model but will offer a more durable display, improved cameras from Leica and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
