Previously, the dynamics of Mackerel’s spread to the Norwegian Sea were weakly examined. Now scientists have formed a model that predicts the conditions in which fish were mounted using temperature data, water density and other parameters. Temel was a technology that monitors the movement of water bodies and helped to understand where the clusters of fish were formed.

Particular attention was paid to the so -Called frontal regions, which are locations of the water meeting with different features. MacKeral usually has unique conditions where it collects. Scientists have developed an automatic method to determine such areas.

The study has shown that the mackerel accumulation is mostly 10-15 kilometers from hydrological boundaries, especially on the cold side. The most important factors for the emergence of fish are changes in the temperature and density of water.

They plan to use development to automatically prepare forecasts in different regions.
