Perseids are active between 17 July and 24 August, but the most striking meteorite flow is observed in the first half of August, especially from 5 to 20. The best time to observe – from midnight to dawn, when the constellation rises on the horizon.
In 2025, the month after the full moon on August 9 will intervene in observations, illuminate the sky and hide the weak meters. However, the most brilliant meteorites called cars are noticed even against the background of the moonlight.
Apart from the areas with white nights in the north, almost a star can be seen in Russia. The best conditions are in the middle lane, in the Urals, in Siberia and in the Far East where nights are dark. In big cities, meteorites are worse due to street lighting. It is better to go out of the city – at least 30 km from small settlements and more than 100 km from big cities.
