The feature was launched amid restrictions on other popular instant messengers. You can call directly from an interactive map showing the location of the interlocutor, from a friend’s profile or from the general chat. Additionally, each user can completely disable the search function in privacy settings.
As the co-founder of the service Maxim Klimchuk noted, the innovation appeared in response to numerous requests from users who wanted not only to correspond, but also to make calls from within the application. The update is currently available for iOS and Android device owners.
Blink is gradually expanding its functionality. In addition to calling, the app also offers opportunities to meet nearby people, play cooperative mini-games, send sound stickers, and view your friends’ movement speed and battery level.
