According to the hacker, he worked on the protection mechanism for several weeks and managed to bypass Denuvo using a combination of proprietary tools and open solutions such as Sogen.
As confirmation, he posted screenshots of a working copy of the game and a test session log in which the protection was successfully disabled.
Heuman stated that his work was done for research purposes only – for participation in the Navaja Negra 2025 conference – and emphasized that he did not intend to distribute any details or patches.
He also reported that removing protection did not provide a performance increase, dispelling the popular myth that Denuvo significantly reduces FPS in games.
The Denuvo system was developed by the Austrian company Irdeto and is used in many AAA projects to protect against piracy, but is often criticized among gamers for its possible impact on performance.
