The decision affected all regions, but both services remain available on Google Play.

The company confirmed to TechCrunch that the apps violated App Store policies regarding content moderation and privacy. Apple has received numerous complaints and negative feedback, including reports of minors’ personal information being released.

The developers were notified but did not resolve the issue.

Created in 2023, the Tea app became popular in 2025, inviting women to “share their experiences” with men.

In July, the service experienced a data leak from 72,000 users, including photos and IDs. A men’s branch called TeaOnHer later emerged, but it also faced security issues.
