Asus has released version 2 of its AX3000 wireless router under the TUF Gaming sub-brand. Speeds of up to 2.402 Gbps on 5GHz and 576Mbps on 2.4GHz are promised for a total of around 3000 megabits per second. It has wired, 2.5 gigabit Ethernet ports, and four times 1GbE. Two ports can be used together for a 2 gigabit connection to a device with two 1GbE ports. The first version of the router in 2020 did not yet have this functionality. This model was not available in Europe, but was only marketed in Asia.

USB 3.0 type-a allows adding a USB drive, printer or WPA3 security hardware to the network. There are four antennas, two for each frequency. Inside is a quad-core processor at 1.7GHz, 512MB of ram and 256MB of flash storage.

Mobile Game Mode prioritizes mobile game traffic for smoother gameplay. VPN Fusion lets you use a VPN for gaming or other demanding traffic while maintaining a fast internet connection. TUF expectations are met with metal shields around the ports and a robust cooling solution made of aluminum with a nano-carbon layer.

A price has yet to be announced, which will likely be slightly lower than the GS-AX3000, which falls under the more luxurious RoG sub-brand. It cost around 200 euros when it was launched in August 2021 and is currently on sale for 165 euros.
