In the US, a court ordered Twitter to transfer files from the former spam account general manager to Elon Musk. The businessman changed his mind about buying the company due to the social network’s refusal to disclose information about the number of bots.

Elon Musk wins lawsuit against Twitter for the case of the purchase of the social network

The billionaire’s lawyers requested documents from several company employees, who, in their opinion, had data on the process of analyzing spam and bot accounts, writes Business Insider.

Elon Musk announced the purchase of Twitter on April 25, on July 9 he withdrew from the deal. The reason was that the social network did not disclose information about the number of bots. Musk’s lawyers called this a critical factor in calculating Twitter’s value.

On July 13, Twitter sued Elon Musk for his refusal to buy the social network for $44 billion. The lawsuit says that Musk is refusing to honor the agreements because the deal is no longer of personal interest to the businessman. The billionaire filed a countersuit.

In August, Elon Musk called out the condition under which he agrees to complete the deal to buy Twitter. The billionaire wants the company to demonstrate how the authenticity of accounts on the social network is confirmed.
