According to experts, this is because the absorption of the largest number of drugs begins only after the tablet has passed the last, long part of the stomach. This means that the faster it enters the duodenum, the faster it will begin to move.

After conducting a series of experiments, the scientists came to the conclusion that the most “high-speed” option is the position lying on the right. It allowed the drug to dissolve 2.3 times faster than standing. If you lie on your left side, on the contrary, the process slows down.

This is explained by the fact that the stomach is oriented asymmetrically. As a result, its pyloric part bends towards the center of the body and back, towards the spine.
