The Helix laboratory service launched the Helix Express service with Labomats, where medical tests can be carried out confidentially and without contact. Now 30 reception points have been installed in St. Petersburg. This was reported to RB.RU by a Helix representative.

Helix launched a network of points for contactless testing

Investments in the pilot launch amounted to 80 million rubles. The total investment in the project in the next three years will reach 5 billion rubles.

  • Ordering and paying for medical exams at Helix Express is done online in a mobile app. Subsequently, by means of a QR code in the nearest “Labomat”, the user receives containers for taking biomaterial.
  • You can collect biomaterial on your own at home or in the treatment room with the help of a nurse, if necessary.
  • The package with containers is placed in the “Labomat”, inside which there is a special thermal container for storing samples at the desired temperature. Every two hours, couriers take samples from the device and deliver them to the laboratory complex.

The company claims that due to the frequent delivery of samples to the technological site, it will be possible to obtain results on average twice as fast as usual. And the cost of the analyzes carried out through Helix Express will be 30% cheaper since the administrative staff is not involved in the interaction with the clients and the processes of ordering, paying and receiving the results are carried out online.

“Labomats” can be placed in the corridors of medical institutions, on the territory of pharmacies, shopping centers, airports or in other places.

The pilot of the service has been launched in Saint Petersburg, where 30 Labomats have already been installed. By the end of 2023, 320 Labomats will be installed in Moscow and St. Petersburg. By July 2024, the company plans to install another 480 Labomats in more than a million cities.
