A video has been released on the TechRax YouTube channel testing the built-in crash detection feature of the iPhone 14 Pro.

This blogger uses an old Mercury Grand Marquis. Inside the car, he installed a GoPro and attached an iPhone 14 Pro to the headrest.

The car itself was controlled remotely. The iPhone 14 Pro did not experience a crash, probably because the impact was not severe.

The second and third time there was an imitation of a head-on collision. The impact happened and the front of the car noticed. The iPhone 14 Pro detected an emergency and started calling emergency services about 10 seconds after the crash. The blogger managed to cancel both calls.

In this way, the YouTuber proved that the iPhone 14 Pro’s crash detection function really works, albeit in long tests.
