VKontakte representatives are negotiating a partnership with Russian aggregators to integrate them into their application for ordering a taxi within the social network, TASS reports, citing a source familiar with the discussion.
In 2019, VK and Sberbank invested in the Citymobil taxi ordering service, and in April this year, the joint venture of the companies sold Citymobil’s assets to the owner of Taxovichkoff.
The interlocutor of the agency said that the social network can launch a mini-application “Taxi VKontakte” and is currently looking for a partner for this purpose. As planned by the company, the application will be available in the “Services” section of the social network. The VKontakte press service neither confirmed nor denied these data.
Taxi VKontakte was not included in the parameters of the agreement for the sale of Citymobil, explained the press service of the online service.
