The launch of the project was announced by Tasty – point. In a first stage, cooking oil from half of the chain’s restaurants will be used for the production of biofuels. The volumes allow to produce up to 3 thousand tons of biofuel per year.

Tests have shown that using biofuel instead of diesel fuel to heat the interior of an electric bus reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 18%, Mosgortrans said. Currently, electric bus stoves run on diesel.

On December 1, “Vkusno, and that’s the point” began work at the Moscow and St. Petersburg airports and railway stations on the site of the former McDonald’s.
