Ozon will shut down the “Moments” video service, an analogue on the “stories” platform, where users post content. The reasons for this decision were not given by the company. The moments lasted less than a year.
The Ozon marketplace has decided to close the Moments section, a company representative told RB.RU. The reasons for Ozon’s decision were not mentioned, specifying that they would continue to develop their own video platform.
Moments was launched in April 2022. This is a section, an analogue of “stories”, in which sellers and users post photos and videos on various topics. Sellers can add a link to the product in the published content.
According to Ozon, more than 30,000 authors have created content on Moments and the service’s monthly audience has reached 15% of market visitors.
Instead of Moments, Ozon will develop high-converting formats for purchase, such as live streams, video testimonials and video covers, the company said.
