  • Japan imposed sanctions against 48 individuals and 73 legal entities from Russia. The restrictions, in particular, were extended to Wagner PMC, Rosbank, the head of the Kalashnikov company, Alan Lushnikov, and Russian Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin, writes Kommersant.


  • Sovcombank maintains plans to hold an initial public offering of shares, its co-owner and first deputy chairman of the board, Sergei Khotimsky, told Vedomosti.
  • Credit institutions that have fallen under the new Western sanctions are suspending currency transfers, Izvestia writes. Restrictions on such operations have already been introduced at the St. Petersburg, Uralsib, Primorye, Levoberezhny, Lanta-Bank and Rosbank banks, their representatives said.


  • The producer of the world’s third most popular whiskey, The Officer’s Choice Indian Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD), will enter the Russian market, Kommersant has learned. Alcoholic Siberian Group (ASG) became the exclusive distributor of two company brands.
  • Freedom Holding closed the deal to sell the Russian business. All assets of the holding company in Russia became the property of Maxim Povalishin.


  • The founder of the National Computer Corporation, Alexander Kalinin, told Kommersant that he plans to invest 10 billion rubles in the development and production of mobile devices for the consumer market.
