In addition to presenting the smartphone antennas, PureLiFi also showed off several concept device demos. One is a cube-shaped router that emits a series of IR beams. The company acknowledges that ideally Li-Fi would be built into a ceiling light, but pureLiFi believes many people will be frightened by this approach. A separate router that can be turned on or off is another matter.
In the demo smartphones shown at the booth, antennas for receiving IR rays are placed on the body of the smartphone as a sheath. In the final product, the antennas will be integrated directly into the body and will automatically switch between Li. -Fi rays (for now this must be done manually).
The company told the broadcast that although a line of sight to the access point is required to reach maximum speed, the antennas can also work with light reflecting off the walls. As soon as you put your phone in your pocket, smartphones with Li-Fi antenna seamlessly switch back to Wi-Fi or mobile connection.
Regardless, the company is on its way to integrating an interesting Wi-Fi replacement into the masses, we can only wish them good luck.
