It is reported that the Cortex-X4 can operate at a frequency of 3.70 GHz. This will result in a 15% increase in clock speed compared to the 3.20 GHz Cortex-X3 on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Insiders are already confident that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will outperform the Apple A17 Bionic, at least on paper. However, increasing the Cortex-X4 clock speed to 3.70 GHz can significantly increase the power consumption of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, resulting in reduced battery life and higher temperatures.
