American billionaire Elon Musk intends to build a city near Austin in Texas. The houses will be rented to employees of SpaceX, Tesla and Boring Company at below-market rates.
The project includes modular houses, a swimming pool, sports fields and a school. The residence of the businessman himself is also planned nearby. A sign has already appeared on the site “Welcome Snailbrook, Texas, 2021,” The Wall Street Journal writes, citing sources.
Last year, the Boring Company offered employees to rent houses close to work. The price of the houses with two or three bedrooms ranged between 800 dollars per month. After layoff, the living space must be vacated within 30 days.
In 2022, Elon Musk became the first person in history to lose $200 billion in one year and two months: as of November 2021. Following the loss, Musk also lost the title of the world’s richest man.
