Scientific studies show that a popular alcoholic beverage can have a welcome advantage. Apparently, red wine is associated with lower levels of belly fat. This is stated in a study published in the journal Obesity Science and Practice.

During the research, the scientists analyzed data on the health and habits of 1,869 people aged 40 to 80. Red wine ranked first in the list of alcoholic beverages associated with visceral oils.

According to JustCBD nutritionist Elena Ognivtseva, red wine contains a large number of antioxidants – phenolic acids and polyphenols. After taking antioxidants, a person’s metabolism accelerates. As a result, it can burn more calories and lose weight.

Antioxidants reverse the oxidative stress that occurs when the body produces too many free radicals. Oxidative stress is known to be associated with the accumulation of belly fat and metabolic diseases, including heart disease and diabetes.

However, in order to benefit from these benefits, it is recommended to consume red wine in moderation. This means you should drink no more than three or four standard servings at a time.
