According to the documents, the US Treasury Department froze the assets of MegaFon, the company’s businesses and subsidiaries, and also completely banned US citizens and companies from doing business with the operator.
MegaFon described the sanctions as “an unfair and illegal step with no basis”. The company plans to appeal the imposed restrictions.
