The expert expressed this opinion when commenting on the recent fine of 800 thousand rubles on Wikipedia for refusing to remove materials about the extremist composition of the Psyche group, known in Russia.
Danyuk noted that Roskomnadzor did not seek to fine anyone, but that fines and other measures, including blocking, were ultimately unavoidable due to “disrespect for foreign IT companies …”.
