Planet Earth is believed to have formed a giant cloud of gas and dust – a nebula – in space about 4.6 billion years ago. And the first continent on the planet may have appeared 4.4 billion years ago.

At first, there was no oxygen on Earth. It arose during the transition, about 2.4 billion years ago. And the first animals appeared only about 660 million years ago.

There are two basic factors that people need to live. This is sunlight and the constant movement of the planet’s surface.

Scientists believe that the Sun will shine for another 5 billion years. However, it will gradually become brighter and brighter, warming the planet more and more. In just 1 billion years, our planet will become too hot for oceans to survive.

In general, it will take about 4-5 billion years until the Earth becomes uninhabitable.
