The Chinese automaker Chery does not exclude localization in the Russian Federation, we are talking about its own plant or association. This was stated by the president of Chery International, Zhang Guibing.
Responding to questions from journalists, he noted that the company continues to study the possibility of localization in the Russian Federation, including proposals for several production sites.
“We are considering different forms of cooperation: our own Chery plant, a joint plant,” Guibin was quoted as saying by TASS.
As early as May, the manufacturer is going to launch the seven-seater hybrid Tiggo 8 pro e+ for sale. Also in 2023, Ghery will introduce a Tiggo 7 pro series model with a hybrid drive system. Also, the Arrizo 8 sedan with a hybrid power plant may enter the Russian market.
In the future, the manufacturer will focus, among other things, on the supply of electric cars to the Russian Federation. According to the president of the company, the country has created the necessary infrastructure for this.
According to the forecasts of Avtodom Group of Companies, the share of Chinese cars in the Russian market this year may reach 60%.
