This is how font is added to Photoshop

You will find many different fonts by default in the Adobe app, but there may be a particular font you prefer but cannot find in Photoshop. Then there are two ways to add fonts. For example, you can download and install fonts on your computer, but you can also download them through your Creative Cloud account.

The easiest way is to download and install the fonts on your computer. You don’t need to sign in to your Creative Cloud account, it’s free, and you can use the font directly in other programs like Word or Excel.

First, find a font that appeals to you. You can use a site like Dafont.com or 1001Fonts for this. If you have already found a beautiful font, for example on a beautiful photo or poster, but you do not know exactly what font it is, you can refer to What The Font. Once you find the font, you can download it directly from websites like Dagront and 1001Fonts. You must then download an .otf or .ttf file. While a ttf file has been around for a bit longer, .otf is a newer file format that usually contains more basic characters (think more elaborate shapes like symbols or ligatures). Both file formats are suitable for the average user.

Double click the .otf or .ttf file and you will see a preview of the font. click To upload and the font will be installed on your computer. All you have to do is search for the font you just installed in Photoshop. You’ll also find the font in other programs like Word and Excel.

If you have a Creative Cloud account, you can also download fonts directly from Adobe. Go to fonts.adobe.com and choose a font. On the font overview page, you will see the Enable Fonts drop-down menu. Here, toggle the switch behind the font you want to enable. This only works if you are logged in. You can then use the font directly in all Adobe programs.
