Apple officially announced the release of the MacBook Air with the M3 chip, the most powerful processor the company has ever produced. They’re already making rounds on the internet the day after they hit the stage. First benchmark tests of the new Apple MacBook.

Test results Geek Bench 5 Data published by MySmartPrice shows the strength of the newly announced 2024 MacBook Air compared to the previous generation that featured the M2 chip.

On the other hand, it is interesting to see the differences between the new MacBook Air with M3 chip and the MacBook Pro with M3 chip. The entry-level MacBook Air has a processor with an 8-core GPU, while the base MacBook Pro has an M3 chip with a 10-core GPU. Although the differences in performance level are not that drastic.

Results of the first comparison of MacBook Air with M3 chip

Performance tests of the 2024 MacBook Air processor show that the M3 chip accompanied by 16 GB of combined memory achieves an individual score. 3,157 and multi-core score 12,020.

These results are for a MacBook with the following description: “Mac15,13”This shows that it is a MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen.

Testing using a MacBook Air with M2 chip reflects an individual score. 2,610 and multi-core score 10,120.
