This Thursday, Poco launched two new mid-range phones: Poco F6 and F6 Pro. But the Xiaomi-owned brand also took advantage of the event to unveil its long-awaited first tablet: the tablet. Small rug. A device that the manufacturer designed almost exclusively for consuming content.

During the presentation, the company joked that once upon a time everyone thought a tablet would make work more efficient; but they ended up using it to watch movies or video games. And while the Poco Pad has some features designed to enhance productivity, its strength is in entertainment.

Poco Pad comes with a screen 12.1 inches, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, dynamic refresh rate up to 120 Hz and 2.5K resolution. It also boasts a four-speaker audio configuration, as well as support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Poco Pad has a built-in chip under the hood Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s 2nd generation, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. In any case, the internal space can be expanded up to 1.5 TB. Battery 10,000 mAh and supports wired fast charging up to 33W.

According to the brand, the Poco Pad provides enough power for 16 hours of online video playback. Plus, with just 15 minutes of charging, you can get up to 26 hours of music playback.

In terms of camera, the Poco Pad comes with an 8MP sensor on the back and an 8MP sensor on the front. The design of the rear module is very similar to the one we have already seen in the Poco F6.

Poco Pad: the brand’s long-awaited first tablet

When it comes to performance, Poco Pad introduces an “interconnectivity” feature driven by the operating system. HyperOS from Xiaomi. This allows you to connect the tablet to a branded mobile phone to access the network and options such as a shared clipboard, file sharing between devices and others.

Poco claims that it is aiming to make a name for itself in the tablet segment and that this is the first step in that direction. However, the company has made some interesting choices regarding some accessories for the device. Poco Pad may be accompanied by keyboard, and stylus and cover which are identical—at least in appearance—to the Magic Keyboard, Apple Pencil, and iPad Smart Folio.
