What problems does a public beta usually cause?

By the time Apple releases its public betas, the system should already be stable enough to work without too many bugs. Nonetheless, don’t be surprised if you see any problems on iOS 16.

After all, this is the first public beta, inspired by the third developer beta. If official releases contain bugs and other bugs, be aware that beta versions are even more prone to them.

Some of the most common iOS 16 public beta issues include:

  • Starting up when the device gets too hot. Even when it sleeps, you may feel that your iPhone is heating up more than expected. Don’t worry, it won’t burn or anything, but it’s due to somewhat unstable resource management in the operating system. These errors are usually corrected later.
  • Battery problems are also quite common.. In addition to the battery getting slightly warmer than usual, you may also notice higher load losses in less time. It also tends to be resolved a few betas later. The reason, as in the previous point, is the poor management of system resources by the beta version of iOS.
  • Errors with banking applications and other bugs in the system. It’s also pretty common. Since this is a beta version, many banks do not update their applications until they are faced with a much safer, more reliable and widely adopted system. Because of this, you may find that many of the apps you use daily for payments may not be compatible with your iPhone on iOS 16 beta right now. Please consider this before downloading.
  • In addition, you may have problems navigating the system.. From unexpected freezes to apps that close on their own. All this is quite normal during beta testing and should disappear within a few months.
