Every new generation iPhone has been accompanied by rumors and leaks until its launch date, and the situation was no different with the iPhone 15 series. What attracted the most attention this time was the possibility of using a USB-C connector on devices instead of Apple’s proprietary Lighting. Now, a photo allegedly belonging to the iPhone 15 Pro is circulating on the internet and seems to confirm the rumor.

The image shows what should be the bottom of the new iPhone model with a USB-C port between the phone’s speakers. Interestingly, renders of the iPhone 15 series appear shortly after publication.

The photo is said to show the iPhone 15 Pro, but rumor has it that Apple will plug USB-C into all devices in the series, including the standard models. The manufacturer uses the port on their iPads and Macs, but insisted on Lightning for iPhones. It is speculated that Apple’s decision to give up was due to pressure from regulatory agencies, especially in Europe.

still a mystery

The famous apple company would hardly accept a decision that did not belong to them without implementing it in their own way. In addition to the almost proven rumors that we will see USB-C ports on the iPhone 15, there are also rumors that Apple will give mobile phones a way to detect if a cable is official. A third-party cable may have limited charging and/or data transfer speeds.

The manufacturer may offer different performances on the iPhone 15 between USB-C and the iPhone 15 Pro, in addition to trying to make the “universal” one out of USB. This was predicted by mobile technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
