Hyundai unveiled the new IONIQ 6, an electric sedan with a rugged and elegant appearance, inspired by the Prophecy concept car. The automaker has revealed the official design of the car, details on pricing, specs and equipment will follow later.
Hyundai calls the IONIQ 6 an ‘Electrified Streamliner’. Many of the elements of the Prophecy remain – albeit softened – even on the production car: starting with the focus on aerodynamics, with a Cx of just 0.21 seconds. We also find the horizontally developed rear light clusters – made up of square pixels, such as Hyundai’parametric pixel ‘ – as well as a state-of-the-art dashboard, with a single horizontal screen (12.3 + 12.3 inches) integrating the instrument panel and infotainment.
As far as we are concerned, the IONIQ 6 already presents itself as one of the EV with more personality than ever.
As expected, Hyundai has not yet provided us with any information regarding the vehicle’s performance. That’s why we don’t know the autonomy and power of the IONIQ 6. For now, the price and equipment that will be available from launch remain a mystery.
However, we know the dimensions of the vehicle: 4.86 meters long. The alloy wheels will be 18 or 20 inches, depending on the model. All that’s left is to wait a few more days to find out more.
