Italian scientific excellence is now at stake in the field of Food Safety. With the project Metrofood-It aims to create a service platform to control the quality, authenticity and traceability of raw materials and products, creating an interface between industrial innovations and research, development innovative and sustainable agri-food systems.

The project coordinated by Aeneas was financed with EUR 17.8 million from the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) and sees the participation of the universities of Bari, Federico II of Naples, Molise, Parma, Sapienza of Rome and Siena and the National Institute of Metrological Research.

Aeneas will make several available infrastructure And laboratories divided into five research centers, operational units and a mix of technologies able to provide services and develop open data useful to researchers, inspection and control authorities and citizens to improve quality, safety, traceability and circular economy.
