Valve shared the results of its monthly hardware and software survey. During April, AMD’s CPU market share increased slightly, with some Radeon RX 6000 GPUs making their first appearance in the Steam Poll. While six-core processors were the most popular processors in March, quad-core is now at the top again.

For example, the RX 6900 XT, RX 6600 XT and RX 6600 were detected for the first time in the sample. The 6600 XT represents a 0.30% share, while each of its siblings has to make do with 0.15%. The RX 6700 XT has been in the database for several months, no trace of other RDNA 2 cards has yet been found. Also, the GTX 1060 is still the most popular graphics card at 7.15 percent, while the GTX 1650 is pretty close at 6.48 percent.

Intel represents the majority of the processor market with 68.21%, while AMD is slowly gaining market share. 31.8% of this month’s CPUs come from the red team, which is 1.1 percentage points more than last month.

The majority of processors still have four cores (33.73%). While Hexacores was at the top last month, they are now a few points behind (31.8%). Both Intel and AMD currently have four cores in their ranges, although their six-headed brethren are expected to become increasingly popular.
