Last Monday (9), the Crypto Space Agency (CSA) announced Victor Hespanha, 28-year-old Minas Gerais production engineer, won the space trip in a draw after investing NFT from space agency to crypto nation. The boy will travel on the fifth manned flight of Blue Origin, the space company founded by Amazon creator Jeff Bezos.

As explained, the engineer is the first to invest in the universe of cryptocurrencies and NFTs and says he bought it simply thinking about the asset’s appreciation potential. “I am fulfilling a childhood dream through an NFT, the chip is still falling,” he said in a winning note.

“It will be an unforgettable experience for Victor and one that fulfills our mission: combining the technology of the space industry with the innovation and financial strength of the crypto market so that humanity can have a vision of a future beyond Earth,” he said. Sam Hutchison, co-founder of CSA, said in a statement.

Second Brazilian in space

It is worth noting that Victor Hespanha will be the second Brazilian to travel to space. Until then, in 2006, only astronaut Marcos Pontes, the current government’s former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, had made a space trip. However, the two are completely different journeys.

On Blue Origin’s next flight aboard the New Shepard rocket (NS-21), Victor and five other passengers will experience several minutes of weightlessness during a suborbital flight. Astronaut Marcos Pontes traveled to the International Space Station (ISS) in the Russian Soyuz TMA-8 spacecraft and spent 9 days and 21 hours in space.

CSA has launched 5,555 Gen 1 NFTs in the non-exchangeable token market, promising investors new opportunities to soar through space. Victor’s election took place on April 30, and he was the first to be selected by the Crypto Space Agency campaign.

“Victor left the real world when he bought his first NFT and is now literally leaving the planet. This is a Matrix moment. Web3 blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, and CSA brings these wonderful experiences to its members.”
