The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) ruled in favor of Microsoft and therefore The Activision Blizzard acquisition process has been expedited as there will be no restrictions on franchises from other companies such as Microsoft and Sony from now on. However, there are restrictions on access from the UK as the deal is only available in North American regulators.

According to Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, “from day one of this acquisition, We are committed to addressing the concerns of regulators, game and platform developers, and consumers. Even after we pass the milestone to approve this deal, we will continue to focus on ensuring that Call of Duty remains available on more platforms and to more consumers than ever before.”
Phil Spencer of Xbox stated that the entire catalog of Activision games will be available by 2028. But so far, the final deal only includes ‘Call of Duty’.
Signing the deal puts the issue of exclusivity aside because Microsoft will make it clear that this is not its intent, as you will lose access to many users and revenue from the sale of games by doing this, While making it available for other platforms and “promoting new epics for PlayStation and even future Nintendo consoles,” according to the dedicated portal ‘Xataka’.
On the other hand, Sony had some doubts about the permission they would give Microsoft on video games. however, with an agreement that came just before the release of its new version, they chose to allow 10 years of access to the game in question.
