The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater presented a new gameplay trailer at Xbox Showcase 2024. And the facelift is incredible in every way. And we haven’t known anything about the game for a long time. The latest was that the Japanese company Konami, responsible for its development, announced that the game It was developed on Unreal Engine 5., the latest version of Epic Games’ graphics engine. And the truth is that the first teaser left us wanting more. And now we have it.
The truth is that the game looks incredible without playing it. In fact, even in Kojima’s heyday with MGS:V, the franchise couldn’t boast such a visual level. It was logical that if we were to do a remake, we should do it with a title that, according to many players, is the best of the entire saga, perhaps with apologies to Metal Gear Solid for PS1.
Konami has put special effort into modeling characters and environments that look like they’re from the current game. And the animation seems extremely polished, from what we see in the trailer of Big Boss and his enemies, or the reactions to certain events in the environment. In fact, the game looks much better than the videos themselves. Logical because They’re remaking the game from scratch with the latest generation graphics engine.

The bad news in all of this? The game, although coming to PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S, does not yet have a release date. Even a time window, for example, somewhere in 2025. Nothing.
Oh, and by the way, Kojima Productions is not involved not in any way in development of a remake Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Although the original game was conceived by a team led by Hideo Kojima, after his departure in poor form, Konami closed the door on a future partnership.
