Ming-Chi Kuo differs from other analysts on one of Apple’s most anticipated updates
Analyst Ross Young and Apple device display forecaster Ming-Chi Kuo disagreed this week. Possibility of Apple launching any product with new Mini LED screen sizes during the rest of the year.
In the latest of his engaging and pertinent tweets, Kuo said, No 11-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display no one else managers’ concerns about costsThis forces the project to be among the things to do next year.
Apple was going to launch a 27-inch Mini LED monitor.

While some analysts have suggested that the element of surprise contributed to the decision to delay the launch to 2023, it partially contradicts Kuo’s arguments, as Apple won’t be the first company in the world to use a Mini-LED display in its products. MSI has announced the launch of its Mini-LED laptop “within a week”, to cite one example.
Kuo explained only available Apple Mini-LED productsLike the 12.9 inch iPad Pro, Upgradeable in 2022, there are no additional products to switch to Mini LED this year. He also doesn’t think Apple will update the 11-inch iPad Pro with a Mini LED display in the same period.
In a way, Kuo’s statements show that Mini-LED versions of the 11-inch iPad Pro and the studio screen will not come to light in 2022. Current Apple products with mini LED displays are the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro..
For his part, display industry consultant Ross Young had this to say: Apple may launch a 27-inch monitor with Mini-LEDs in June. He even detailed that the screen will have 5K resolution and will have ProMotion for refresh rate up to 120Hz.
Ross also prepared a report on the state of the tablet market and provided: Apple decided to focus on Mini-LED technology for more expensive and larger screenswhich makes the procrastination thesis more likely.
Questioning Kuo and Young’s credibility in LED displays now depends on whether Apple is announcing new mini-LEDMini-LED products this year or simply updating existing Mini-LED devices.
