Consumer Reports has updated the ranking of the best automotive brands of the year. Founded in 1936, the American magazine publishes reviews and tests of consumer products and services.
The best brand, according to the magazine, was BMW. The top 5 also included Subaru, Mini, Honda and Lexus. BMW took first place in the ranking for the first time. In 2022, Subaru became the leader in the ranking. The last five positions in the standings were occupied by Mitsubishi, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Jeep and Land Rover.
Tesla was ranked 17th this year, moving up six places in one year. The increase in rating was influenced by the improvement in the reliability of the car.
Consumer Reports has compiled a rating based on the results of road tests, test drives, convenience and comfort ratings, fuel economy, and safety.
