  • Politico: The EU has added to the new sanctions against the Russian Federation a mechanism that allows it to impose restrictions against third countries. However, it will become a tool only as a last resort: some EU members fear that sanctions will harm diplomatic relations with these countries.

Russia

  • In the Kaluga region, restrictions on the movement of personal vehicles throughout the region are being lifted. Restrictions on the roads of the Rostov region have already been lifted.

  • In Lipetsk and Voronezh, bus service has been restored in all directions.

Business

  • Yandex has resumed its services in Rostov-on-Don.

  • Candellabra Home, which positions itself as a replacement for H&M Home and Zara Home, plans to open 240 stores in Russia and abroad by the end of 2024.

Tourism

  • In May 2023, 4.5 million tourists visited Türkiye. The first place in terms of tourist flow is occupied by Russia: 641 thousand people, 77.5% more than the previous year.
