Scientists from the Saratov Vavilov University have developed a solar-powered electric tractor that can be used for cultivation and seed production in agricultural enterprises. This tractor can reduce the cost of farmers by more than 45%. It is equipped with a solar cell that allows it to operate autonomously and recharge during the day. This device helps you perform daily tasks on the farm, such as transporting goods and working the land.

Researchers examined the annual cost of using conventional tractors with internal combustion engines and found that using electric tractors reduced costs by more than 45%. This is because of a simpler design, fewer items, and control flexibility. Such a tractor is especially useful for small jobs such as clearing the field on the farm or transporting feed.

The electric tractor is equipped with a solar cell that allows it to work without recharging for 8 hours at up to 20% load. If the weather is sunny, this power reserve can be extended by 2 hours. Such a power supply system allows the tractor to work during the day and recharge from the solar module during breaks.

The creation of an electric tractor is the result of the work of scientists and a graduate student of Vavilov University. They continue their research and are considering using an unmanned control system for this tractor.
