This feature was first discovered in the test version of Gmail for iOS and later in the Gmail APK for Android. This innovation will allow users to respond to email messages using emoji.
While details are a bit limited, a line of code in the APK indicates that it’s coming “soon” and may be available to a select group of users before being released on a larger scale.
Although Google has not officially announced this feature, there is reason to believe it is in development.
