Israel has become the first country in the world to officially allow the sale of artificial beef. The local Ministry of Health gave permission to Aleph Farms Ltd for this, the department’s press service reported in a statement.
Currently, Israeli authorities are negotiating with other companies that are developing alternative food products to promote their products.
Artificial meat is created from animal cell cultures and made in laboratories. Unlike plant-based meat, cultured meat is not a vegetarian product. Plant-based meat is made from soy, wheat or peas.
