The Photon fits easily into a Pelican case, along with its battery, waterproof joystick, and 150-foot cable for communication with the surface operator. The ROV weighs 11.6 kg and is capable of diving to depths of up to 120 metres. Six magnetic traction motors provide free movement in all directions and the maximum speed is approximately 2.5 knots. The built-in 4K camera with LED backlight streams real-time video to the remote’s seven-inch screen.
