Google is working on ways to integrate its Chrome browser with the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot. The platform may soon gain a new shortcut to make Gemini accessible to users faster.
According to website Windows ReportAvailable testing includes: Shortcut to Gemini inside the address barIt is where you type the page to access in Chrome.
All you have to do Type “@gemini” (without quotes) followed by a text command to be directed and get instant response from the chatbot. In this way, you do not need to open the page in the browser or access the application on mobile devices.
Currently, this feature is only being tested in Canary, the experimental version of the browser for developers. There is no information yet about when it will be added to the stable version of the program.
How to release Gemini shortcut in Google Chrome
To enable the Gemini feature, you must first type: “chrome://flags” In the address bar.
Then go to the item “Expansion pack for site search starter pack”. Change the option to: “Enable pre-production URL”. Now close the browser and open it again for the option to be enabled.
At least in the latest version of the browser, the @gemini command still does not produce results from the AI. It is possible that the function will work normally in subsequent updates.
In addition to making Gemini operate separately as a website and an app, the company has also slowly integrated its AI platform into its other services. It’s the same with the enterprise apps that are part of the Gmail and Google Workspace suite.
